BookRabbit

Redberry Digital

Redberry have taken over this popular social network and relaunched the site in Aug 09, after an extensive overhaul of the site.

Having developed this site for ArgentVive PLC originally in 2007/2008, Redberry purchased the BookRabbit website and associated assets from the administrators in May 2008, after the group ran into financial difficulties.

The site allows users to register, upload their bookshelves, create wishlists of books, connect with other readers and invite their friends to join. There are lively discussions on many book-related topics and a growing number of over 2000 book reviews to help the public choose their next read.

As well as all the familiar social networking tools the site allows users to re-categorise and supplement the information around any of the 6 million books in the catalogue.  In addition, users can add new titles to the catalogue which don't appear in the main set (usually because they pre-date the ISBN system).

Redberry have partnered with a number of well known booksellers to provide a sales aspect to the site. These Affiliate Partners include, The Book Depository, Amazon and Waterstones to ensure that users can buy the books they wish.

BookRabbit is also actively engaged on Twitter @TheBookRabbit and Facebook.
