Re-design and build of a content managed website for this Classic British Production Company.
Tasked with designing a new look website for Hammer Films we were immediately drawn to their rich archive of material and some truly iconic imagery.
While the company's heritage provides the perfect back-drop to the site we also wanted to give it a modern feel more befitting the new raft of films in production from tense thrillers like The Resident (starring Oscar-winner Hilary Swank), to the widely anticipated Let Me In (modern vampire flick from 'Cloverfield' Director Matt Reeves), to remakes of classic horror stories such as The Woman In Black (Directed by The Descent's James Watkins).
It was also recognised that Hammer Films, as well as the horror genre in general had such a strong online following that several community aspects have been built into the fabric of the site including film ratings, user comments and live league tables from the Hammer Trivia site.
Technically the site is integrated with the bespoke CMS Redberry developed for Exclusive Media Group on the Zend Framework allowing Hammer staff to update all aspects of the site easily.
