This extensive site was created in 8 languages to support the global release of Thunderbirds: The Movie.
As well as providing a central location for the global online campaign we created localisation toolkits that allowed individual territories to take elements of the site and place with promotional and branding partners?
With a pre-teen target market the broad remit of the site was to create a sense of fun and exploration, immersing the user in the world of the Thunderbirds?
Users were invited to explore Tracy Island to discover the secrets of the Thunderbirds. Accessing media for all of the key characters and vehicles, users could unlock hidden areas and exclusive downloads by completing a number of games and quizzes dotted around the site?
As well as creating numerous Flash Games and downloads, we included four innovative 3D Shockwave games which allowed users to get behind the controls of the Thunderbirds. The 3D games proved to be the most popular download on the site and broke new ground in the promotional games market?
From the launch of the holding site through to the release of the film we invited users to "Join International Rescue" to receive updates and exclusive downloads. In the three months leading up to the film's release, over 15,000 users subscribed to the service, agreeing to receive Thunderbirds updates which stretch to the DVD release and possible sequels.
